李亚东



 李亚东,副教授,美国杰克逊州立大学

Dr. Yadong Li earned his Bachelor, Master and Ph.D. degrees in Environmental Engineering from Tsinghua University in 1985, 1987, and 1992 respectively. He served as a faculty member at the Department of Environmental Engineering at Tsinghua University, China from 1992 to 1995. He was a Research Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering, University of Missouri-Columbia from 1995 to 2001. In the beginning of 2002, he joined Jackson State University as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He is now a tenured Associate Professor in the same Department. He is a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Mississippi.

 Dr. Li has been teaching civil and environmental engineering courses since he started his teaching and research career in 1992. His research interests are in diverse areas of Environmental Engineering, including Beneficial Use, Treatment, and Safe Disposal of Solid and Hazardous Wastes, Ground Water Pollution, Environmental Chemistry and Toxicity, and Radioactive Waste Technology. He obtained most of the most prestigious award--Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER)--from U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) to study the Environmental Hazards and Treatment of Electronic Waste (E-waste) during 2003-2009. The results have been published in professional journals and presented at national and international conferences. His research team consists of postdoctoral fellows, visiting scientists, graduate and undergraduate students.
